Unit of Clementina
End of the 70s, oil, energy matrix important that the country was in crisis. The price of the barrel expanded constantly. The product only generated uncertainty in the economy nacional.Para end the dependence on imported oil, the Brazilian government launches a bold project and the impact of large Brazilian agricultural landscape: the planting of sugar cane for the production of alcohol fuel, a new Alternative energy matrix.
With alcohol, the impact of imported oil in the national economy declined and the growth of activity has generated more jobs in rural areas of Brazil. It was necessary to expand the production of the new energy matrix of the country.
Given the appeal of the government, politicians, pastoralists, farmers and entrepreneurs bet on the new activity to generate renewable energy in the region of Clementina. They formed an association to gather land for the planting (2,000 alqueires) and facilitate the construction of a power plant.
The five days of December 1980, met the Shareholders in the General Assembly formally constitute the Company. On January 11, 1981, was approved by the Project CENAL (National Council of Alcohol), soon after, began the work of the distillery, making the milling of the first harvest in 1983.
Today, Clementina is synonymous with CLEALCO. The operation of the plant has increased the number of direct and indirect jobs for the city and 26 municipalities in the region, in addition to improving the quality of life for most of its inhabitants.
Unit of Queiroz
The unit of Queiróz came through the good performance of the Unit of Clementina and expansion of the market ² of the country, thereby ensuring the shareholders and directors are sure of the investment in a new unit.
Expanding thus its own geographical area of expertise and marketing, then decided in agreement that the new unit would become a reality, first made a long search in the region by land, land suitable for the cultivation of sugar cane and easy access both the logistics of the company, as to your customers and suppliers.
Once resolved by the municipality of Queiróz, a city that is in a region of easy access to major highways in the country, with appropriate soil and with great capacity for development.
The works of the new unit began in March 2003 and from the second half of 2006 the plant came into operation and in the 2007/2008 crop, operate with the milling capacity of 2 million tonnes of sugar cane initially, and may to reach 6 million tonnes.
Thus the Group intends to continue expanding Clealco, always using leading-edge technology and professionalism of its staff, to this always produce clean energy and renewable and products within the global standards of quality and environmental laws to ensure the development of our country .
